so, WHAT'S THE MOVIE ABOUT?
Page 84 exposes the brutal reality of addiction and the soul-searching process of recovery. Told with documentary-style realism, it immerses viewers in the relentless cycle of substance abuse, the breaking point, and the profound rebirth that follows. The story unfolds through Phoenix Jackson, narrating on the night of his seven-year sobriety anniversary at a recovery meeting. His journey is divided into four segments:
1.) Siren’s Call: Trapped in painkiller addiction, Phoenix’s life spirals out of control. His parents watch helplessly, fighting to save him before it’s too late. 2.) The Descent: Rock bottom. A moment of clarity. He checks into treatment, endures detox, and joins a recovery group. With a sponsor’s guidance, he begins the painful yet beautiful path of self-discovery. 3.) The Ascent: Phoenix embraces sobriety, confronts his past, and makes amends. He becomes a sponsor, helping others navigate the same path. 4.) Paradiso: Five years later, Phoenix has rebuilt his life—now a devoted son, mentor, and Behavioral Health Technician. He has risen from the ashes, driven to be a catalyst for change in the recovery community.
This story is a testament to the possibility of sobriety—regardless of age, usage, or circumstances. Sobriety is always within reach if one chooses it. My vision is to share this film in treatment centers, halfway houses, festivals, and online, ensuring it reaches those who need to hear this truth.

Hollywood has told many stories about addiction and recovery—Clean and Sober, 28 Days, Walk the Line, Ray—but these films often skim the surface. They offer glimpses of the struggle, snapshots of transformation. But Page 84 goes deeper. This isn’t just about getting clean—it’s about staying clean. It’s about the real, day-in, day-out work of recovery: the raw conversations with a sponsor, the unbreakable camaraderie of meetings, the rediscovery of passions buried by addiction, and the quiet victories that come years into sobriety—like holding a seven-year chip in your hand.
For years, I’ve wanted a film that doesn’t just touch on addiction but immerses audiences in the full arc of recovery. A story that captures the courage, emotions, and triumphs in a way that’s honest, cinematic, and, above all, deeply human. Page 84 isn’t just a movie—it’s an experience. One that proves recovery isn’t just possible—it’s life-changing.
